Alps Academy is one of India’s oldest and most trusted training institutes. I founded this academy in 1991 to bridge the gap between skilled professionals & growing beauty industry. The glamorous beauty & makeup industry that we see today is so different from the time when I forayed into this industry.
Back then it wasn’t as fashionable as we see it today. A career as a beauty professional was not at all in trend or desirable. Most salons only offered basic services such as threading, waxing, hair cut, and cleansing facials. The common perception was “if you can’t do anything become a beautician.” I wanted to change this perception and take the beauty industry to the next level.
Alps Academy was the first institute to introduce “skin science’ as a course. I combined my passion for teaching and beauty to design a beauty course that goes “skin deep”. I taught my students to understand the skin and its needs first and then decide the line of treatment. Then I blended natural ingredients with skin technology to give more advanced treatments to our patrons. Alps Beauty Clinic transformed the face of beauty salons in the country by bringing the dermatologically advanced treatments within the reach of Indian women.
